The Department of Pathology was established with the initiation of SMC in 2006. It is equipped with modern electronic teaching aids including a Multi-Head Microscope (for five persons), CCTV Camera Microscope with LED, 50 Binocular Microscopes for students and 800+ histo-pathological slides (inclusive of all the important pathological lesions). In addition to quality teaching, we also provide diagnostic services at the University Medical and Research Centre in all subfields of Pathology (Hematology, Cytopathology, Chemical Pathology and Microbiology). In the future, we aim to equip the students with training in various sub-specialities of Pathology Residency and to start DCP, MCPS, MPhil, FCPS-Part II and PhD programs in all the disciplines of Pathology.
