Our department focuses on the development of professional competency of graduates in the field of community medicine. Our department has a vibrant faculty consisting of highly qualified medical professionals to impart education in the field of health assessment and prevention of disease in a defined community and population. For assessment of health issues, identification of associated factors of diseases and its prevention in the community, our students are engaged in primary healthcare initiatives and conduct health surveys in their respective neighbourhoods along with community visits to industry, primary health care providing centers, and different NGOs
