ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA:
i. The candidate must have passed the MDCAT-2024 examination, achieving a minimum score of 55% (110/200) for MBBS admissions and 50% (100/200) for BDS admissions. For foreign candidates and Overseas Pakistanis who completed the HSSC (12th grade) or equivalent qualification abroad and are applying on reserved seats, MDCAT scores, or alternatively SAT-II scores with a minimum of 550 in Biology, Chemistry, and Physics/Mathematics, or MCAT (USA) or UCAT (UK) scores with at least 50% in these subjects, may be submitted.
Candidates may also use their MDCAT-2023 results for admission to the 2024-25 session. If a candidate has taken both MDCAT-2023 and MDCAT-2024, he/she can use the better scores.
ii. Applicants must possess a Higher Secondary School Certificate (HSSC) in the PreMedical Group or an equivalent 12th-grade qualification recognized in Pakistan (IBCC
equivalence certificate required), with a minimum of 60% marks. The candidate must
have passed the subjects of Biology, Chemistry, and either Physics or Mathematics.
iii. A domicile certificate from any district of Punjab is mandatory.
iv. Applicants seeking admission under quota seats must meet the additional eligibility
requirements specified in the Prospectus.
2. MERIT CALCULATION FORMULA:
The weightage criteria for calculation of merit for admission shall be as follows:
Matriculation/SSC/Equivalent – 10%
F.Sc./HSSC Pre-Medical / Equivalent – 40%
MDCAT – 50%
3. HOW TO APPLY:
i. Review the Prospectus and the Admission Policy issued by the Government of Punjab
for the 2024-25 session available on the UHS website (www.uhs.edu.pk) thoroughly.
ii. Access the UHS Online Admission Portal (Separate for MBBS and BDS programs):
For MBBS: http://public-mbbs.uhs.edu.pk
For BDS: http://public-bds.uhs.edu.pk
iii. Register by providing your Name, Father/Guardian’s Name, Email ID,
CNIC/Passport/CRC Number, and a Password.
iv. Upon logging in, select the seat category/categories for which you are eligible.
v. Complete the application form with personal details, including name, domicile, contact
information, address, nationality, gender, date of birth, etc.
vi. Enter educational qualifications, such as SSC and HSSC marks, year of passing,
subjects, etc.
vii. Provide details of MDCAT or other relevant admission test scores.
viii. Choose all colleges in order of preference from the dropdown menu; ALL options must
be selected according to the seat category.
ix. Upload scanned copies of required documents, ensuring each file is clear, legible, and
does not exceed one MB in size.
x. Review and acknowledge the Undertaking before submission.
xi. Generate a fee challan of Rs. 2000/- for the non-refundable application processing fee
and deposit it at the Bank of Punjab (BOP) via branch banking or 1Bill. Upload the
paid challan receipt.
xii. Download, print, and review the application before final submission. Submit the online
application once all information is confirmed to be accurate. A confirmation will be
sent via email.
xiii. Modifications to the application may be made before the deadline; no changes are
permitted after submission deadline.
